We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to drive different types of vehicles, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Duties
Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, to transport goods to designated locations.
Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of products to prevent damage.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered during transport.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Assist with heavy lifting as needed during loading and unloading processes.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Experience
Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and warehouse operations is advantageous.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Experience with heavy lifting and handling large items safely is essential.
A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type being operated is required.
