Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver and shop assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and navigate various delivery routes efficiently.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Assist in shop duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation of stock. Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions, ensuring customer satisfaction. Must be computer literate.

Experience

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers effectively. Familiarity with local roads and routes is beneficial for efficient deliveries. Mechanical knowledge an advantage but not essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 103.79 per day

Expected hours: 25.5 per week
