Delivery Driver & Workshop Assistant

We are looking for an organised and reliable individual to join our workshop team. This will be a split role of supporting the manufacture of kitchen product as well as carrying out deliveries during the week.

This is a full-time position with flexible working hours. Due to the nature of the role, finish times may vary depending on delivery schedules, traffic, or unforeseen delays.

Duties:

On the road

- Safely and efficiently transport products to customers' locations
- Load and unload products from the delivery vehicle
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Experience of driving and charging EV vehicles
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues if needed.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer interactions
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the delivery vehicle
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections

In the workshop

- Forklift experience along with helping manoeuvre materials and product in the workshop
- Care and diligence in workshop tasks such as edge banding, routing, oiling and finishing, sanding finished kitchen doors and wrapping for dispatch
- Assisting in keeping the workshop clean, tidy and safe

Skills:

- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Strong organizational and time-keeping skills to plan routes and manage delivery schedules
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading products
- Attention to detail
- Familiarity with using GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
