Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to manage time effectively while ensuring that deliveries are made promptly. The Delivery Driver will also assist with warehouse duties as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery van or similar vehicle to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring that all products are handled with care and delivered in excellent condition. Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any necessary paperwork and documentation. Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, stock replenishment, and organisation of goods when not on delivery runs. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job effectively. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members efficiently. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism at all times.
