Job Title: Delivery Driver

Responsible To: Branch Manager

Hours: Full-time Mon-Fri 8 to 4.30 Mon to Thurs

8 to 3.30 Fri

Pay: 12.79 per Hour

Camel Glass have been supplying and installing windows and doors across the southwest for over 40 years.

We are currently looking for a delivery driver who will be based at our Barnstaple branch.

The ideal candidate should have a cheerful personality, be customer-focused, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. A clean driving license is required, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team while effectively managing their workload.

Some overtime may be required when needed

All local deliveries around North Devon in a 3 ton van, some longer trips away on occasions

The Role

Efficient loading of products so as to minimise any potential damage during delivery, taking into account vehicle limitations and safety. Efficient delivery of products to customers homes and work sites, ensuring the most efficient routes available. Ensuring products are checked for any damage before loading and advising of any damage found. Ensuring all delivery notes and related documents are completed in line with company procedures Preparing products and helping with loading of installation vans to minimise non-productive time when required. Ensure company vehicles are cleaned and maintained in line with company requirements. Promote the company in a positive manner at all times with a friendly, positive, customer focused attitude. Ensure excellent standards of waste management keeping work areas clean and clear of waste. Have good product knowledge, understanding and actioning care and attention to detail when moving, stacking, loading and delivering products. Have a working knowledge of the Store Person role to be able to offer cover as and when needed. Able to operate a fork lift when needed. Ability to carry out basic installation tasks, helping form part of an installations team as and when necessary. Trailer use would be an advantage

KEY SKILLS

Basic reading and writing skills.

Clean driving licence.

Work well individually and as part of a team.

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent organisational skills and good time keeping.
