We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our warehouse to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and a strong commitment to customer service.
Duties
Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations.
Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of products during transit.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Assist in the warehouse as needed, including organising inventory and preparing shipments.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) as required during deliveries.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members effectively.
Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial.
