Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team at Baked in Brick, an independent artisan bakery, restaurant & bakehouse, based in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe transportation. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to navigate efficiently, and a strong commitment to customer service.

Our production unit based in Erdington & we deliver goods across Birmingham and the Midlands.

Duties

- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
- Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of any issues encountered.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist in production unit duties when not on delivery routes, including preparation of product, organisation of stock & cleaning.

Skills

- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong driving skills with a valid driving licence; experience as a van driver is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is beneficial.
- A good understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety practices is essential.

Must hold a full & clean UK driving licence. Driving over 1 year is a necessity.

Shifts are flexible on but mainly consist of 6am-12pm/3pm
