Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to valued customers in north Cumbria and south west Scotland. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage time effectively while adhering to delivery schedules. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate deliveries.

Hours

You will work Tuesday - Friday starting at 07:00am each day. Working between 4-6 hours, you should expect 18-22 hours per week.

Duties

Safely operate our delivery vans to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of products during transit. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met. Keep accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any discrepancies encountered. Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed. Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, reflecting the professionalism of the company.

Qualifications

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred. Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous. Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties. A knowledge of the area would be beneficial.
