Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to navigate various routes efficiently. Experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload goods onto the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of items. Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered during transport. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes that may arise. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or queries from clients during the delivery process.

Qualifications

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred. Familiarity with flatbed vehicles is an advantage. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Physical ability to lift heavy items as required during loading and unloading processes. Previous experience in a delivery driver role is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
