About Coorie

Coorie is our food-based social enterprise for Space @ The Broomhouse Hub. We have a permanent community cafe in the Hub, a well-established corporate catering business, and a thriving mobile pizza operation serving up across Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife.

Thanks to the efforts of the whole Coorie team, we have more than doubled our income in the last two years with all profits supporting Space's extensive projects and services. As part of our mission to grow our operation we have won a tender to operate a kiosk with an NHS venue in central Edinburgh which opens in mid-June. A second kiosk is expected to be added to the portfolio before the end of 2025.

At the heart of Coorie are our dedicated team who work alongside trainees from Space Training Academy; Trainees are developing their customer service and broader hospitality skills in order to progress in to paid employment roles. Happily, several trainees who have completed our programme are now employed as catering assistants and we are excited about the kiosks enabling us to develop this pathway further.
