Job Description

We are based in Eccles, Manchester and are looking to appoint a punctual and hard-working individual to work within our business as a full time Delivery Driver. .

The role will consist of the below:

Driving our delivery wagons which consist of 3.5t flat-bed trucks. Loading and offloading vehicles both manually and with forklifts (training provided if needed). Collecting goods from suppliers. Delivery to customers' homes and builders merchants. Dealing with customers both at delivery addresses and within our yard. Liaising with the logistics manager regarding delivery and routes. Ensuring vehicles are checked and any maintenance requirements are reported. Serving customers for materials in the yard when required. Loading & unloading customer and company vehicles
Ideal applicant experience/traits:

Hard working with a desire to progress within the company. Ability to check load and ensure that the load is secure. Experience within a similar role is helpful but not essential as full training will be provided. Ability to route plan. The role involves the lifting and carrying of heavy products off and onto the vehicle and so the applicant must be physically fit and able. Punctual and well presented. Full driving licence, preferably clean from any endorsements Someone that has a friendly and outgoing personality who is happy to communicate face to face with customers.

Days/Hours of work:

Monday to Friday (8am till 5pm with a 4.30pm finish on a Friday) 39.5 hours. Saturdays (8am till 12pm) on rota in busy periods Overtime availability
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 25,080.00-26,350.00 per year
