Overview

We are seeking two reliable and dedicated team members to join our delivery team. This is a two-person role (Driver + Driver's Mate/Helper), as the goods we deliver are heavy aluminium glazing products. The driver will be responsible for safe vehicle operation, while both team members will assist with loading, unloading, and ensuring deliveries are made efficiently and safely.

This opportunity is ideal for two friends or individuals who enjoy working as a team. The driver will receive a higher rate of pay due to driving responsibilities, but both roles are essential to the successful delivery of our products.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery vehicle (driver only), adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport Work together to deliver goods to customers safely and efficiently Maintain accurate records of deliveries (driver only) Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues (driver only) Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including heavy lifting and inventory management

Skills & Requirements

Driver: Valid UK driver's licence required, strong driving skills (no more than 6 points), commercial driving experience beneficial Helper (Driver's Mate): No licence required, but warehouse or delivery experience is beneficial Both roles require the ability to lift heavy goods, good teamwork skills, and excellent customer service Forklift licence preferable but not necessary

Considerations

Vehicle, insurance, and fuel card are provided (driver only) Routes are pre-planned, only navigation required Working hours can vary due to traffic -- some days may be long, others shorter Eventually the driver will become a keyholder and have flexibility to start early to suit delivery schedules Pay reflects responsibility: drivers are paid at a higher rate, helpers at a supporting rate
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From 130.00 per day

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
