Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver's Mate to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the driver in delivering goods efficiently and safely while ensuring excellent customer service. This role involves heavy lifting and requires strong communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist the driver with loading and unloading goods from the vehicle. Ensure that all deliveries are made accurately and on time. Communicate effectively with the driver to coordinate delivery schedules and routes. Help maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle. Perform checks on the vehicle before departure to ensure it is roadworthy. Support warehouse operations when necessary, including packing and sorting items for delivery. Handle heavy lifting of packages and equipment as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is advantageous. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. A valid driving licence is beneficial but not mandatory for this position. Experience in warehouse operations is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 60 per week
