A grocery delivery driver plays a crucial role in the supply chain of grocery stores and online grocery services. They are responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of grocery orders to customers' doorsteps. This role involves a combination of driving, customer service, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
Receive delivery orders and verify the accuracy of items, quantities, and customer information.
Collect grocery orders from vendors or grocery stores, ensuring all items are present and in good condition.
Use handheld devices or software to scan and track orders.
Operate a delivery vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
Deliver groceries to customers' homes or designated locations.
Provide excellent customer service, representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Communicate with customers regarding delivery status, any delays, or order issues.
Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with patience and professionalism.
Handle groceries with care to prevent damage or spoilage, especially perishable items.
Load and unload groceries from the delivery vehicle, ensuring items are secured properly.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
Maintain accurate delivery records and logs.
Collect payments from customers, if required, and provide accurate change.
Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents to the appropriate personnel.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and delivery protocols.

Pay: 10.44-13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
