We are looking for a driver on a Tuesday Thursday Saturday

6am start delivering fruit and veg to our sites in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

This a a self emploved role with the rate of pay being 13.50 per hour. ( paid out the following Monday

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to drive various vehicles, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. The Delivery Driver will also assist with warehouse duties as needed, including heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring all items are secured for transport. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies. Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation of goods. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25 kg) and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading deliveries. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members. Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service excellence.
