Duties

Operate delivery vehicles, including vans, in a safe and responsible manner. Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations. Communicate with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability. Assist with heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies encountered during transit.

Experience

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety practices is advantageous. Experience in warehouse operations is beneficial for understanding logistics processes. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and team members effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely is required for this position.
