Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our warehouse to various NHS wards across East Anglia, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to drive various long wheel base vehicles, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service. This role is for approximately 15 hours per week, to be worked on Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's. Shift times will be approximately 10am - 3pm. These shift times and days are subject to change dependant on the businesses needs.

Responsibilities

Operate delivery vehicles, including vans, to transport goods efficiently. Load and unload products, ensuring safe handling and compliance with safety regulations. Communicate effectively with distribution staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure roadworthiness using company paperworks. Complete company paperwork when delivering - e.g. signing Goods In/Out, delivery notes. Navigate routes using GPS or maps while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. All vehicles are fitted with a tracker that are monitored regularly. Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as needed.

Experience

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is essential. Familiarity with distribution operations is advantageous. A valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving. Due to our insurance, you must not have any points or claims from the last 5 years regardless of fault on your license and be at least 25 years of age. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently is necessary. Good understanding of written and spoken English.
