Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, making it essential for candidates to have experience in both warehouse operations and commercial driving.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery van or vehicle to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations. Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, preferably with a background in warehouse operations. Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 30 kg) as required during loading and unloading processes. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and customers. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure. Familiarity with local roads and routes is preferred, along with good navigational skills.
