Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting baked goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service.

Shifts

4/5 shifts over 7 days (including weekends) 3am or 4am starts 4- 5 hour shifts Weekend working is essential

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery van, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Follow efficient pre-planned routes to ensure timely deliveries. Communicate with bakery staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the delivery vehicle. Complete necessary paperwork related to deliveries, including logs of mileage and delivery confirmations. Report any vehicle maintenance needs or accidents promptly to management. Ensure the electric vans are charged ready for the next delivery schedule.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, preferably with commercial driving experience. Strong driving skills with a clean driving record. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. Good time management skills and the ability to work independently.

Pay: 12.80 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 20 per week

Every weekend Monday to Friday
