Job Description
County Foods, a successful supplier of meat products, delicatessen and dry goods to the catering industry based in Poole, are currently recruiting an experienced Delivery Driver to join our busy team, working 5 days per week. You will be required to deliver a range of fresh and frozen produce to various catering establishments. (Approx. 20-30 drops per day)
Working Hours (5:30am/6:30 a.m. to 1:30pm/2:30 p.m.):
37.5 hours per week, worked over 5 days. Monday to Saturday with 1 allocated day off midweek (not Saturday)
As a representative of the Company who visits our customers, we require drivers who understand the importance of customer service. A good local knowledge of roads within a 50 mile radius of Poole plus previous experience of providing exceptional customer service is essential.
Additionally, the role involves:
- Accurately checking delivery/advice notes, reporting any anomalies
- Accurately completing paperwork
- Loading & unloading vehicles as required, lifting and carrying heavy weights (max. 20kg)
- Maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles both inside and out
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of multi-drop delivering, ideally in the food industry
- A good local knowledge of roads within a 50 mile radius of Poole
- Good customer service skills
- A clean driving licence
- A good level of both written and spoken English
- The ability to build professional relationships with customers
- Be well presented
