Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our supplier's customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a commitment to safety, and excellent communication abilities. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for navigating various routes while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
Duties
Operate 3.5T delivery vans to transport large white glove deliveries to designated locations.
Load and unload items, ensuring that all products are handled safely and securely.
Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal and safe performance.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, office staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
Manage paperwork related to deliveries, including delivery confirmations.
Working as part of a 2 man delivery crew to assist with heavy lifting as required during the loading and unloading process.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a White Glove Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is an advantage.
Ability to navigate efficiently using maps or GPS systems.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
Capability to perform heavy lifting as needed during deliveries.
Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial but not mandatory.
