Overview

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to navigate various routes while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent communication skills and the capacity to handle heavy lifting as part of the delivery process.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured and protected during transport. Deliver packages to designated locations in a timely manner, maintaining a high standard of customer service. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any issues or discrepancies encountered during the process. Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, with a strong understanding of local routes. Valid driving licence with the appropriate category for the vehicle being operated (e.g., driver). Experience in commercial driving is advantageous, particularly for larger vehicles. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
