Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of road safety, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary while maintaining safety standards. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and logs of mileage. Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Assist in warehouse duties when required, including inventory management and stock organisation.

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential, with a proven track record of reliability and punctuality. Experience in commercial driving is preferred, along with a valid driving licence suitable for the vehicle type being operated. Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous, including skills in handling inventory and logistics. Strong communication skills are necessary to interact positively with customers and colleagues alike. Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities is required.
