Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of the delivery process. The Delivery Driver will also be expected to maintain accurate records of deliveries and communicate effectively with both customers and warehouse staff.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all road regulations. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Navigate routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries. Communicate with customers regarding delivery times and any potential issues. Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the delivery vehicle. Assist in the warehouse when required, including inventory management and organisation of stock. Complete delivery documentation accurately, including receipts and logs.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous. Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving (e.g., van driver). Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service.
