Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver goods to clients and customers. Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and minimise delays. Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance issues promptly. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company policies during all driving activities.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within logistics or warehouse environments. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Experience with commercial driving and knowledge of traffic regulations. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness and stamina. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Organised with excellent time management skills to meet tight schedules. Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous but not essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in their driving skills and delivering exceptional service while maintaining safety standards at all times.
