We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver's Mate to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will assist the driver in the delivery of goods, ensuring that products are transported safely and efficiently. This role is vital in maintaining our high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Assist the driver with loading and unloading goods from the vehicle.
Ensure that all deliveries are made on time and in good condition.
Help with route planning and navigation to optimise delivery efficiency.
Communicate effectively with the driver and warehouse staff to coordinate deliveries.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and loading area.
Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used to avoid injury.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience with vehicles is preferred.
Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
Experience in warehouse operations is beneficial, including stock management and inventory control.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers.
