We're seeking a reliable and versatile Delivery Driver & Warehouse Operative to join our close-knit team at Garrett Kitchens. This varied role combines warehouse operations with delivery responsibilities, perfect for someone who enjoys diverse tasks and takes pride in maintaining high standards.As an independent kitchen studio serving South London, Surrey, and Sussex, we deliver bespoke kitchen solutions to our clients. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our products reach customers safely and on time, while maintaining our warehouse to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations:
Loading and unloading goods efficiently and safely
Taking full ownership of warehouse organization and cleanliness
Maintaining inventory in designated areas
Ensuring all products are properly stored and protected
Supporting general warehouse maintenance and housekeeping
Delivery Services:
Conducting solo deliveries of small items to customer locations
Collaborating with team members for large/bulky item deliveries (including delivering full kitchens as part of a two man team)
Operating Long Wheel Base (LWB) vehicles safely and professionally
Ensuring all deliveries are completed on schedule and to customer satisfaction
Maintaining delivery documentation and customer communication
General Duties:
Supporting various team activities as part of our small, collaborative workforce
Adapting to changing priorities and seasonal demands
Upholding company standards for customer service and professionalism
Essential Requirements
Valid UK Driving License
(clean record essential)
Proven experience driving Long Wheel Base (LWB) vehicles
Physical fitness for manual handling of kitchen components and appliances
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management and reliability
Positive attitude toward varied work responsibilities
Good communication skills for customer interactions
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Desirable Qualifications
Previous warehouse or logistics experience
Knowledge of manual handling best practices
Experience in customer-facing delivery roles
Familiarity with kitchen/construction industry products
