Delivery Driver/warehouse Operative
Job Description
We are a family run Timber Merchants that has been established in Penrith for over 170 years, supplying timber and associated goods to both trade and the general public. We pride ourselves on giving quality goods and service.
We are looking for a delivery driver/warehouse operative to work in a busy environment within our Timber Merchants. The role will include the following tasks to be carried out on a daily basis. DRIVING delivering materials to our trade and retail customers. YARD duties may include picking orders, unloading and receiving goods, loading vehicles, stock control, housekeeping and putting stock into our designated areas. In the process following all our procedures and health and safety policies.
The role is for 30-40 hours per week based on a 4/5 day week, can be flexible.
The right candidate must be hard working, polite, tidy, and have a clean driving license. A good knowledge of the surrounding area/county would be needed.
A competitive wage will be offered depending on experience.
A knowledge of timber would be preferred but is not essential.
