Warehouse & Delivery Operative

This is a key dual-role position, combining essential warehouse operations with the responsibility of safely delivering goods to our customers. You will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth flow of stock and providing excellent service as the face of our company during deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfilment:

You will accurately pick, check, and pack customer orders from picking lists. This includes preparing goods for both national couriers and your own daily delivery route in the company van.

Logistics & Deliveries:

You will conduct daily vehicle checks, plan efficient delivery routes, and safely load the company van. Your primary role on the road will be to deliver orders to customer sites in a timely manner, whilst providing a professional and courteous service at the point of delivery.

Goods In:

You will be responsible for checking, receiving, and safely putting away inbound deliveries, ensuring all goods received are undamaged and checked off against supplier paperwork. This also includes processing any customer returns.

General Warehouse Maintenance:

You will help maintain a tidy, well-organised, and safe working environment, ensuring the warehouse operates as efficiently as possible in line with health and safety procedures.

Candidate Requirements

A full, clean UK driving licence is preferred

for insurance and safety purposes, given the regular use of a company vehicle. Previous experience in a warehouse and/or delivery role would be beneficial. Reliable and punctual, with excellent time-management skills. Physically capable of lifting and moving stock safely. A friendly and professional manner for interacting with customers.
