Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our warehouse to our customers various locations and replenish stock to maintain stock levels, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, making it essential for candidates to be physically fit and capable of managing the demands of the job. A valid driving licence is required, and experience in commercial driving or as a van driver is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations. Load and unload goods from the vehicle, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Assist in warehouse duties when not on deliveries, including order picking and organisation of stock.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record. Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is preferred but not essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers. A proactive attitude towards safety and adherence to company policies in all aspects of work.
Hours of work are 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday and 8am-4pm Fridays.

Flexible Start/Finish times dependant on customer requirements.

Starting pay is 12.21 per hour and this will be reviewed by the Warehouse Manager and discussed at interview.

Overtime when available is paid at time and a half of hourly rate.
