Job Summary

Multi drop driving/delivering/Warehouse Operative role involving packing and preparing of delivery consignments to support the daily running of South Yorkshire Firewood and Legacy Habitat Management Ltd in continuing to deliver an excellent service to our retail and contracting customers.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibility 1

- Delivering firewood consignments to domestic and commercial customers driving a Tipper Van fitted with Hi-Ab Crane. Training to operate crane would be provided. Driver must follow a strict delivery schedule prepared the day before delivery with timed delivery slots. Consignments of firewood will need to be off-loaded on delivery at customers addressed. This will require some manual handling.

Work standard- You will be expected to ensure that deliveries are made at specific times. As you will be meeting customers, it is important to be courteous, polite and presentable. You may also be required to handle money.

Responsibility 2

- Preparing and packing consignments of firewood to be delivered to our firewood customers on a daily basis during the Winter and on an occasional basis during warmer months. This will involve selecting from different wood products and ensuring that the correct products are packed, filling bags of wood and loading vehicles ready for delivery. This is physical work involving manual handling, lifting aids and personal protective equipment are provided where necessary.

Work standard: Consignments must be packed accurately and safely, and vehicles loaded to meet tight deadlines to ensure ensure that customers get correct order and delivery time schedules are met.

Responsibility 3 -

Warehouse operations and packing of fencing materials orders to be delivered to our customers. We operate a busy warehouse and you will be partly responsible for helping to keep this orderly. Packing orders from a wide range of stock to be sent to our fencing customers. This will be a mixture of pallets and small parcels mostly during the Summer months.

Work standard

- Attention to detail and ensuring that consignments are packed accurately to ensure that orders are correct and on time.

Full UK Driving Licence (5 years+ driving experience) Counter Balance Forklift Truck Operators Licence

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.50-15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
