Delivery Lead - Data Ingestion Services

Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC\xe2\x80\x99s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world\xe2\x80\x99s leading international bank.

Our multi-disciplined teams include DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back-end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.

Brief overview of the business area \xe2\x80\x93

The Engagement / Delivery Manager is accountable to the Head of Delivery and will be a key member of the Delivery and Engagement team for Group Data Ingestion Services. The role collaborates with global and regional GBGFs (Global Business Global Functions) to manage project engagements from conception through to completion in an agile environment. The role will also be responsible for senior stakeholder management, project financials, resource allocation and be a senior point of escalation for production support issues within region.

What you will be doing \xe2\x80\x93

  • Drive cross Global Business/Global Function technology projects for Data Ingestion Services by supporting technology teams to manage delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, resourcing, dependencies, communications and budget.
  • Provides timely reports on project status, risks and issues, evaluating project performance based on management information.
  • Managing, monitoring and reporting progress, issues, dependencies and risks to the customer, internal stakeholders and/or steering committees.
  • Work in an agile environment that requires reacting to changes quickly.
  • Coordinate and report on project progress and accomplishments, and escalating risks and issues as appropriate.
  • Support technology resilience improvement initiatives, including the resolution of product bugs and production support incidents in Development and Production that are impacting customer projects or services.
Requirements

What you will bring to the role.

To be successful in this role you should have proven experience within the Technology sector with knowledge of the following skills:
  • Experience in presenting to senior business and technology stakeholders, ability to articulate in writing detailed concepts and to present information to a variety of audiences in a clear and concise manner.
  • Prior experience in agile project management, technology relationship management or technology engagement roles.
  • Demonstrates servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Promotes an agile blameless culture that encourages continuous service improvement.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment, seek regular feedback and contribute in team meetings.
  • Commercial acumen and good risk management and mitigation skills.
\xc2\xb7 Foundation knowledge of data movement (data technologies)

\xc2\xb7 Agile Delivery Lead \xe2\x80\x93 working in Scrums, Kanban boards etc

\xc2\xb7 Project Management experience

\xc2\xb7 Senior stakeholder engagement Experience

\xc2\xb7 Experience dealing with budgeting \xe2\x80\x93 financial responsibility - quoting projects, technologies, and resources up to one million pounds

This role will primarily be based in Leeds, some travel may be required. This role supports Hybrid Working
