About the Role
As a Delivery Manager, you will be an integral part of our delivery function, responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of tech projects using a variety of methodologies with support from your line manager and wider team plus on the job learning. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and customer satisfaction. Who are we looking for?
An experienced delivery manager who has supported security teams deliver projects and services within a similar sized organisation
Knowledge and understanding of requirements gathering and stakeholder management
Excellent stakeholder management skills and confidence to challenge others in an appropriate way
What will you be doing day-to-day?
Ensure the Security Backlog is maintained and reflects the long-term desire to reduce security risk and maintain regulatory compliance.
Ensuring security projects and services are strongly interlinked with the other delivery roles.
Own escalations and issues, working with teams up to SLT level ensure these are communicated effectively and addressed in a timely manner.
What you'll need:
Strong decisive character required. Ability to make decisions at team level and provide clear communication.
Executes project plans using industry standard methodologies, although will need to be flexible in approach depending on the demands of the project.
Analyse complex situations, understand trade-offs, and help relevant stakeholders make informed decisions Facilitate the generation of solutions, validating and prioritising before driving implementation
Allocate resources effectively to ensure that the project has the necessary tools, equipment, and personnel.
Monitor project timelines and adjust as needed to keep the project on track.
Address issues and obstacles that arise during the project, finding solutions to keep the project moving forward.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and other relevant records.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project management efficiency.
What we are looking for?
Project Management certifications (APM/Prince2/AgilePM/PSM)
Experience within a retail ecommerce environment
Experience in managing projects for cybersecurity
Uses influencing and communication skills to guide and motivate stakeholders through complex challenges and projects
Can see barriers, and goes for them rather than stops
Anticipates problems based on previous learning
Can guide others to find the correct solutions
Not afraid of positive conflict, surfacing difficult issues to facilitate resolution
Has tenacity and drive
Hands on, not just there to facilitate - is committed to driving the resolution
Proficiency in project management tools and software
