Job summary




We are recruiting for a Delivery Performance Manager to join Ofsted.


This is a new role and an exciting opportunity to work across the organisation to deliver change that will enhance operational performance. The role will focus on improving the accountability for effective and efficient performance across Ofsted's national delivery hubs. They will lead on the development of management information and insight that that will be used to hold regional directors to account through a 'star chamber' to evaluate the effective performance of their hub.


They will also contribute more widely to national delivery supporting the Deputy Director (RASAF) and National Director (Delivery) find solutions to emerging risks and issues. The role will have lots of variety and the post holder will be required to work with senior leaders across the whole organisation.


They will look to drive operational effectiveness and efficiency by undertaking 'deep dive' reviews to provide information and insight in to focus areas. The work will vary over time as the post holder will be responsive to solving and implementing change that leads to impactful improvement.

Experience of developing and interpreting management information that supports operational delivery. Proven ability to collate and evaluate complex information and share findings with impact to senior managers. Identify areas for improvement think creatively about business focused solutions to issues, applying flexibility & credibility ensuring continuous improvement of the service whilst understanding the business, financial, strategic & political context. An ability to manage the implementation of projects to deliver defined objectives and priorities. Ability to give clear advice to senior managers and stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with an ability to present complex information in simple, concise, and visually engaging ways. Evidence of developing relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, particularly at senior level, from a range of different specialism such as policy, finance, and operational delivery teams. Ideally a good understand of Ofsted's regional delivery model and its remits. (Desirable)

This vacancy is using Success Profiles , and will assess your Behaviours, Experience and Technical skills.

Application and Shortlisting:




The selection panel will assess your application based on your evidence you have provided against the essential criteria as set out in the person specification.


You will also be asked to provide information within the "Employer/Activity History" section of the application form. This information is equivalent to the information you would provide on a CV setting out your career history (this will be used in the sifting process).

Interview




Candidates who pass the benchmark at the shortlisting stage will be invited to an interview where they will be assessed against a mixture of the Civil Service behaviours, and the experience/technical skills set out in section 3 of the job specification.
