About the Role

NB This is a fixed term contract for a minimum period of 6 months.

In this role you will manage the production and delivery of publishing products for the ELT Division to ensure cost-effective, timely, consistent, and innovative solutions that enhance ELT\xe2\x80\x99s position as market leader. You\'ll manage a team of Operations staff to ensure sufficient resourcing and quality standards are adhered to, in order to fulfil our publishing strategy.

Key accountabilities:

  • Compile and manage resourcing plan for multiple publishing lists, acting as key stakeholder to deliver the most cost-effective solutions for ELT\'s Publishing Plans.
  • Recruit, train, and line manage team members, motivating and supporting staff to deliver cost-effective and innovative products within time and budget.
  • Delegate responsibility for projects to line reports, ensuring that they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the agreed level of quality.
  • Advise Director of Content Delivery on budget requirements to support management of annual budget, and advise on estimated versus actual spend.
  • Within guidelines set by Outsourcing Services Manager, negotiate and manage business relationships with suppliers to deliver high quality projects successfully within time and agreed budgets.
  • Maintain a culture of continuous improvement, communicate changes to workflows and processes to line reports, and ensure adherence.
  • Represent Content Delivery, ELT, on new publishing initiatives to ensure publishing strategy is managed and delivered in accordance with business requirements
  • Research technology and industry best practice to offer advice and guidance on educational publishing products to ensure that innovative and cost-effective solutions are proposed to meet user requirements.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

Essential:
  • Significant experience project managing relevant print and digital publishing projects
  • Knowledge of the end to end lifecycle of products, from concept, through delivery and revisions.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office
Desirable:
  • Line management experience
  • Formal project management qualification
  • Knowledge or experience of English Language Teaching
