We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a . The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills and experience in delivery, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods. This role requires effective communication and the ability to perform heavy lifting, making it essential for candidates to be physically fit and capable of handling warehouse tasks.
Duties
Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic regulations.
Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any issues encountered.
Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes.
Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure roadworthiness.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience with vehicles is advantageous.
Background in commercial driving is beneficial, along with knowledge of local routes.
Previous warehouse experience is a plus, particularly in handling heavy lifting tasks.
Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
