We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. The Van Driver will play a crucial role in our delivery operations, contributing to the smooth functioning of our warehouse activities.
Duties
Safely drive a van to deliver goods to various locations as per the delivery schedule.
Load and unload items, ensuring that all products are handled with care and secured properly during transit.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and any discrepancies encountered during transport.
Experience
Previous experience as a Van Driver or Delivery Driver is preferred but not essential.
Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety practices is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
Experience in a warehouse environment is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of logistics operations.
