Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our clients team as a Delivery Driver. This role is essential in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for navigating various routes, managing deliveries, and ensuring that all items are handled with care.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking and reporting any discrepancies. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate delivery schedules. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met. Assist in the warehouse as needed, including heavy lifting and organisation of inventory.

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable, particularly in a commercial driving capacity. (experience in the construction sector is desirable but not essential) Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with team members and customers. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands associated with the role. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is required.
