Duties

Safely operate vehicles, including commercial lorries, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies Deliver goods to various locations promptly, ensuring accurate and complete deliveries Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy or bulky goods requiring heavy lifting Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle logs, and mileage reports Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a secure working environment Support warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including organising stock and preparing goods for dispatch

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record Experience in warehouse operations and handling heavy lifting tasks Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members Excellent organisational skills to manage schedules and documentation accurately Ability to operate various types of vehicles safely under different conditions Physical fitness to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy items Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations relevant to commercial driving
