Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials efficiently and safely. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. The Van Driver will play a crucial part in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a van to deliver goods to various locations. Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist with warehouse duties when not on delivery, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting, as some deliveries may involve bulky or heavy items. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and clients. A valid driving licence suitable for operating a van is essential.
