Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to manage deliveries in a timely manner. The Van Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and that our clients receive their orders as expected.

Duties

Safely operate a van to deliver goods to various locations. Load and unload items, ensuring safe handling and compliance with weight limits. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with the warehouse team regarding any issues or delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist with heavy lifting and moving of products as required during deliveries. Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during drop-offs. Experience using card machines to process payments on delivery. Possible Saturday morning deliveries.

Skills

Proven experience as a flatbed Van (long wheel base) Driver or in a similar delivery role is preferred. Strong driving skills with a valid driving licence. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients. Experience in warehouse operations is advantageous. Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently. A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: 13.30-13.71 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
