As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced and analytical Demand Planner to help us forecast, plan, and execute with precision across a fast-moving and complex chilled portfolio.
The Role
Office based, in North London, the demand planner role is a newly created due to the demands of a growing business.
You will play a vital role in ensuring that production and supply from our manufacturers align with customer demand. By analysing data, market trends, and promotional activity, you'll develop accurate forecasts that optimise stock levels, reduce waste, and maintain outstanding service levels.
Working cross-functionally with commercial, supply chain, and operations teams, you will be central to balancing supply and demand within categories where quality, food safety, and speed are critical.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse daily, weekly, and monthly sales data across all major retailers (Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons, Co-op, along with a growing retailer and customer base).
Develop and maintain rolling demand forecasts for the Speciality Cheese category and key retail customers. Other categories will be including as demand grows.
Ensure product availability across multiple retailers for cheese launches and products in newly developed categories.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Purchasing, and our manufacturers to align on plans and priorities.
Work with purchasing and national accounts teams to manage supplier orders and prevent out-of-stocks or excess waste.
Liaise with supply chain, consolidators and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock cover and service levels.
Monitor promotional uplift, NPD launches, seasonal peaks, and range changes.
Report regularly on forecast accuracy, service levels, stock health, and wastage KPIs.
Track forecast accuracy and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the planning process.
Support new product launches, retailer range reviews, and seasonal planning cycles.
Provide regular demand insights, commentary, and reporting to senior stakeholders.
Collaborate with Technical teams on ensuring customer food safety requirements and quality are met
Completion of day-to-day support activities for the John & Pascalis business as reasonably requested by the Business Directors.
About You - Qualifications & Experience
Ideally experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain within the food or FMCG sector -- ideally chilled or short-shelf-life products.
Ideally experience in managing high-volume, short lead-time SKUs, ideally with Mediterranean or chilled food categories.
Ideally a good understanding of UK retail supply chains, promotional forecasting, and store replenishment behaviour.

Skills required
Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Proficient with planning systems such as Request, or other forecasting tools (SAP APO, NetSuite, etc.).
Able to work collaboratively across Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics to align plans and resolve issues.
Confident communicator able to build strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and customer buyers.
Comfortable working with large data sets and supermarket portal data (Tesco Connect, Asda Retail Link.).
Organised, proactive, commercially aware, and resilient in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational excellence.
