Dementia Day Care Support Worker (Part-Time)

North Leeds (LS17, LS8, LS18, LS15)

Are you kind, patient, and looking for a truly rewarding role where you can make a real difference every day? We're looking for a Dementia Day Care Support Worker to join our warm and supportive team.

Our day care service supports people living with dementia through meaningful care, companionship, and engaging activities. We run from a variety of welcoming community settings across North Leeds, so you'll need to be able to travel to LS17, LS8, LS18, and LS15.

What you'll be doing:

Supporting people with dementia in a friendly, fun, respectful, and person-centred way Helping to run activities that promote wellbeing, confidence, and social connection Offering practical support during the day (meals, drinks, mobility, personal care if needed) Working closely with colleagues to create a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment

Hours & Working Pattern:

During training:

2 days per week (12.5 hours)

After training:

increasing to 3 or 4 days per week (18.25-24.5 hours)

No weekends

Working hours:

9:45am - 4:00pm

Pay & Benefits:

Above minimum wage

Experience & Training:

No previous experience required -

full training will be provided

We're looking for someone with the right attitude: caring, reliable, and enthusiastic A genuine interest in supporting people living with dementia is essential

You'll need:

The ability to travel to our different North Leeds locations A warm, patient, and positive approach Good communication and teamwork skills Reliability and a willingness to learn The right to work in the UK (we are unfortunately unable to sponsor visas for this role)
