Job Overview: Dental Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and friendly

Dental Assistant

to join our warm and welcoming practice. You'll be part of a supportive team that includes

three dentists and one hygienist

, all committed to delivering exceptional care in a positive and professional environment. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, compassionate, and eager to make a real difference in patients' dental experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist our dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring instruments and materials are ready and in place. Maintain a clean and sterile environment by following infection control protocols. Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) when needed. Provide patients with oral hygiene education and post-operative care instructions. Manage and update patient records and treatment plans using our IT systems. Schedule appointments and follow up with patients about their care. Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, making sure they feel comfortable and well-informed. Support the dental team with administrative duties as required.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant (or in a similar healthcare role) is preferred, but not essential--we're happy to train the right person! Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Excellent organisational abilities, especially in a busy clinical setting. A background in nursing or healthcare is a plus, though not required. Comfortable with IT systems and managing digital records. Most importantly, a caring and patient-focused attitude.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 32 per week
