We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join a mixed NHS and private, family run dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating dental issues, providing preventative care, and educating patients on oral health. You will work closely with a team of skilled dental professionals to deliver high-quality care in a welcoming environment. Your expertise in anatomy and medical imaging will be essential in ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
This role will be part time and permanent, 2/3 days per week, working at a four surgery mixed NHS and private clinic (Foundation training practice).
13.50 per UDA with use of dental therapists, but this rate can be higher if not used.
50% private split
50/50 lab bill split
Monthly pay
Foundation training + 1 year experience accepted
Use of scanners, rotary/endodontic equipment and lots of potential for cosmetic work.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough examinations of patients' teeth and gums to assess oral health.
Diagnose dental conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Perform a variety of dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns.
Utilise medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments performed.
Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure efficient patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Requirements
Degree in Dentistry from an accredited institution.
GDC registered
Valid dental qualification to practice within the jurisdiction.
Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry.
Proficiency in medical imaging techniques for dental diagnostics.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality care.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
