We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Decontamination Assistant to join our dental practice.
The role:
You will play a vital role in maintaining safe clinical standards by:
Carrying out instrument decontamination in line with the HTM 01-05.
Ensuring correct cleaning, sterilisation and storage of dental instruments.
Maintaining accurate records and logs.
Supporting the wider clinical team as needed.
Upholding excellent infection controls standards at all times.
About you:
Qualified dental nurse (or trainee with relevant experience)
Knowledge of dental decontamination processes and protocols.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Reliable, punctual and a team player.
Commitment to high standards of hygiene and patient safety.
Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting is desirable
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Good IT skills, including familiarity with dental practice management software
Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is advantageous
Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
