We are seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. Responsibilities
Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct oral health assessments and record findings accurately in patient records.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
Assist dentists during various dental procedures by preparing instruments and ensuring patient comfort.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using appropriate techniques.
Utilise CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for digital impressions and other relevant applications.
Use medical imaging tools effectively to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilise instruments according to regulatory standards.
Keep detailed documentation of treatments performed and patient interactions.
Stay informed about the latest developments in dental technology, including anatomy knowledge relevant to oral structures.
Requirements
Valid registration as a Dental Hygienist with the appropriate regulatory body.
Proven experience in performing dental cleanings and patient education.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques related to dentistry.
Strong understanding of oral anatomy and related health issues.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to reassure and educate patients effectively.
Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
