Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. We are looking for a long term Hygienist, applicants who are qualified Dentists and looking to progress back into Dentistry please don't apply as we are looking for a permanent Hygienist. Continuity of care is extremely important to our patients. Any applications that don't meet this criteria, we will not be able to respond. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care, ensuring patient comfort, and promoting oral health education. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with dentists and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth. Assess patients' oral health and document findings accurately in patient records. Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist in the development of individualised treatment plans based on patient needs. Utilise medical imaging techniques to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain a clean and sterile environment in accordance with health regulations. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies, including CAD (Computer-Aided Design) applications.

Qualifications

Valid Dental Hygiene licence or equivalent qualification recognised by the relevant regulatory body. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health. Proficiency in medical imaging techniques is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills to manage patient records efficiently. A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry standards.
