We are seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining patients' oral health through professional cleaning, patient education, and assisting the dental team. Responsibilities
Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar build-up
Conduct oral health assessments and provide personalised advice on oral hygiene practices
Assist with dental examinations by taking and developing medical images using appropriate imaging equipment
Utilise CAD software for diagnostic purposes and treatment planning support
Educate patients on preventive oral health strategies and post-treatment care
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with practice protocols and data protection regulations
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with infection control standards
Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care delivery
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a similar role within a clinical setting
Knowledge of CAD software applications utilised in dentistry for diagnostics and treatment planning
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques specific to dental assessments
Strong understanding of human anatomy, particularly oral and maxillofacial structures
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and patient management
Compassionate demeanour with excellent communication skills to educate and reassure patients
Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development, staying updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices, imaging technology, and CAD applications relevant to the field.
