We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices and be committed to providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health, educating patients, and assisting in various dental procedures.
This is position is for Mondays.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take medical histories and record vital signs as necessary.
Utilise medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments performed.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist licence or equivalent qualification.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
